High Resolution Photo-Realistic Digital Print

What is it?

Photo Realistic On-Disc Printing is a state-of-the-art digital press CD/DVD printing process producing vibrant high quality imagery.  The process begins when digital files are reverse printed onto transfer film by using an electrostatic procedure.  Once the films are printed they are then applied directly to the disc surface using thermal heat and pressure to transfer the printed film directly to the disc.  The printed images are then permanently adhered to the disc surface leaving a smooth high gloss finish.  The resulting print is phenomenal giving you full 5 color digital graphics (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black and White) that will be sure to amaze.  Images come alive with an ultra high-resolution print (600X600 dpi) and a three dimensional appearance giving you the best on disc printing possible, guaranteed.

How much is it?

National Media Services is now proud to bring you this printing process at no additional cost. Yes that is correct, FREE! (minimum quantity 150)

In many cases, you may have short run CD projects that require a more elaborate, color label. Perhaps your art includes a photograph or color gradient, but there is still extreme deadline pressure, or the run is too small to justify the film output fees incurred with the silkscreen process. In this process, we use the Rimage Everest printer. The result is a permanent, high-resolution full color CD labeling solution with none of the drawbacks of the consumer adhesive label process. On quantities less than 150, you can still get high quality Full-Color Disc Imprints for only .75 ea. High quality thermal transfer. No ink jet or labels. Waterproof, smear proof and looks great too.

Silk-Screen Disc Print

The workhorse of CD labeling solutions, silk screening allows fast, high-quality, full-color label printing on the CD/DVD face. CDs can be silk screened using either spot colors (called out using Pantone Numbers) or process colors (CMYK). The silkscreen process is out of necessity much lower resolution than lithography, so some CMYK images can be problematic, and in general sharper results are obtained using spot colors.

Offset Disc Print

Offset printing on CD/DVD discs gives the best quality and true image. Not every manufacture can do this (expensive equipment investment) but the results are worth it. All replicated full-color packages at National Media Services are offset printed.
